Brunner x Think Furniture: Elevating Workplace Design at Clarion Housing’s Greater London House Office
When Clarion Housing set out to design their new workplace at Greater London House, situated near London’s St Pancras Station, they envisioned more than just an office. They wanted a space that balanced functionality with aesthetics, a modern environment that would foster collaboration, provide comfort, and reflect their forward-thinking ethos. To achieve this, Clarion partnered with Think Furniture and premium furniture manufacturer Brunner, creating a workspace that seamlessly blends craftsmanship, innovation, and flexibility.
A Statement Boardroom with Bespoke Design
The boardroom is the centrepiece of Clarion’s new space, showcasing a fully bespoke, custom-made table crafted to meet the client’s exact specifications. Designed around the concept of functional elegance, the table features a Corian inlay, selected for its durability and sleek appearance. Carefully integrated grooves hold iPads securely, while central cut-outs allow for discreet storage, glassware placement, and subtle lighting elements.
Technology integration is handled with finesse, modules are hidden within the inlay and around the perimeter top, ensuring accessibility without disrupting the table’s clean aesthetic.
This impressive centrepiece is paired with Brunner’s Ray Soft chairs, upholstered in alternating rich burgundy tones. The pairing of robust materials with plush seating strikes the perfect balance between professionalism and comfort.
Collaboration Zones with Comfort and Functionality
Moving beyond the boardroom, the collaborative areas of the office are furnished with Brunner Ray Work chairs in calming sand and earthy colourways. Known for their innovative SHRINX mesh technology, these chairs deliver ergonomic support and breathability, ensuring employees can work comfortably for extended periods.
To support the need for flexibility, Brunner Fina Quilt stacking chairs were introduced into meeting rooms. Lightweight and easy to move, they provide versatility for teams needing to quickly reconfigure spaces for different types of meetings or events.
A Variety of Work Settings
The Clarion office is designed around the principle of variety, acknowledging the diverse needs of modern teams. Touchdown work settings, including Brunner’s Banc and Cellular systems, provide employees with options ranging from quick, informal workstations to more private and focused areas.
Meeting rooms are defined by a unique and distinctive touch: plectrum-shaped tables. With their three equally divided triangular sections, these tables not only create visual interest but also improve functionality for video conferencing, offering an alternative to the more traditional round meeting table.
A Modern, Inviting Atmosphere
The collaboration between Think Furniture and Brunner GmbH has delivered a modern, calming, and inviting workplace atmosphere. From the bespoke boardroom centrepiece to the flexible work settings, every detail has been carefully considered to support Clarion Housing’s team and visitors' needs.
