An Intern In Clerkenwell By Guillaume Lambert

In May this year, Tony, Brendon, Nigel, Amandine and I attended Clerkenwell Design Week. This is the first time Amandine and myself have participated in such a design event. This is one of the leading independent design festivals with more than 35,000 visitors and 300 exhibiting brands last year. A short journey on high speed and tube saw us arriving into Farringdon and walking to the first Showroom we had plans to visit.

The first Showroom we visited was KI - furnishing Knowledge

We saw many ranges of office furniture and their office and showroom was a model of modernity and innovation

The next showroom was Techo’s . Here we felt very comfortable and the staff were very welcoming. The chairs we tested were very comfortable and well adapted to a working posture. We also tested the new 'Sidiz Flight' chair; which is ideal for a home office, featuring both high levels of comfort and excellent value for money.

After Techo, we visited Orangebox. Here we saw a much bigger showroom with many floors of furniture : mixing perfectly home and office design.

We left Orangebox to Vitra; one of the best known brands in the furniture design world. Their showroom is very exceptional and when we left this place, we had stars in the eyes.

During the day we also visited Humanscale and several of the specially created CDW zones before finishing the evening with a bottle or two of beer at the Kusch party.
