60th Anniversary Limited Editions of The Iconic 'Egg', 'Swan' & 'Drop' Chairs From Fritz Hansen

Designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1958 for Fritz Hansen, the 'Egg Chair' has become a truly iconic design piece.

Featuring a unique (at the time) design process, Arne Jacobsen was the first to utilise a strong foam inner shell situated underneath the upholstery, this gave the Egg Chair an advantage meaning that it was not only beautiful to look at but also a comfortable and reliable furniture piece!

The Egg Chair's aesthetics provide an authentic representation of 1950's style, the period of time in which it was designed; offering smooth drawn-out sculptural curves that have withstood the test of time.

2018 marks the 60th anniversary of not just Arne Jacobsen's 'Egg' Chair, but also some of his other iconic design pieces such as the 'Swan' Chair and the 'Drop' Chair and in order to celebrate this Fritz Hansen have released stunning limited edition variations. The classic aluminium base surface on these chairs has been revamped with a 23 karat gold coating, resulting in an almost satin gloss adding to the exclusive expression of the limited edition designs.

The 'Egg' & 'Swan' chairs are available only in a limited number, with a maximum of 1958 pieces of each being manufactured. Each chair will feature a special 60th anniversary leather engraving, with numbering and is available to purchase until 31st December 2018 and whilst stocks last.
